Mushrooms are any items with 'Shroom' in the name. They can be used at the kindling page.
Shrooms are one-time consumables, which means they will disappear after one use. You will know when they're used because it will say so in the success message after breeding.
A rabbit can use up to one shroom per litter. This means you can use up to two shrooms per litter by equipping shrooms to both the mom and dad. Sometimes this will grant extra effects. Other times, they may cancel out (such as giving the mom a Buck Shroom and the dad a Doe Shroom), so it's a good idea to keep track of which items you've equipped.
It may help to make your own personal system (i.e. avoid accidents by only equipping items that can be canceled out to your females).
Now let's get into the effects of each shroom, what you can expect, and which rabbits are best to equip them to!
Buck Shroom, Doe Shroom
These shrooms will (respectively) cause an entire litter to be either all bucks or all does. There is no benefit to equipping both parents with the same gender shroom. They will cancel each other out if both parents are given opposing gender shrooms.
Recommended: for any litter (use with only one parent).
Do not use: with both parents.
Kit Shrooms (+1, +2, or +3)
These shrooms will increase the size of a litter by +1, +2, or +3 kits. They stack with other shrooms including themselves if used with both parents (allowing up to +6 in a litter if multiples are used). They also stack with other litter increase effect such as account upgrades (so if you have an upgrade and use two maximum kit shrooms, you will get +9 additional kits on top of the doe's base litter size).
Recommended: for any litter with one or both parents for maximum effect.

Pose Shroom
Shaped like a wizard's hat, this shroom will cause an entire litter to inherit the pose of the parent holding it. There is no benefit to giving this to both parents. There is also no benefit in giving it to a rabbit who breeds to another of the same pose. Giving it to both parents will cancel out its effects if they are of different poses. Does not effect pose-bound colors like wilder. Does not guarantee special poses but will increase the chances by 50% if used on the special pose parent (same effect as having both special pose parents).
Recommended: for any litter (use with only one parent) when parent poses are different.
Do not use: for litters with the same posed parent, use with both parents, or on pose-bound colors like wilder.
Personality Shroom
This green ring mushroom will make kits of a litter inherit the personality of the parent it's used with. Do not give one to both parents as it will cancel itself out.
Recommended: for any litter (used with only one parent).
Do not use: on both parents.
Genotype Shroom
This shroom will cause all kits in a litter to inherit the entire genotype (A, B, C, D, E, En, and V locus) of the parent it's used with. Using it on both parents will cancel out its effects.
Recommended: for any litter (used with only one parent).

Hidden Mod Shroom
This uniquely spotted mushroom will cause all kits in a litter to inherit the hidden modifier values of the parent who has it. Do not give this to both parents as it will cancel out the effects. Does not effect chances of chimerism, pose, stat, gene, or other inheritence. Does not effect rabbits who are albino or otherwise a color that hides hidden modifier expression.
Recommended: for any litter (used with only one parent).
Do not use: on both parents, albino rabbits, or others that hide hidden modifier expression.
Aptitude Shroom
This purple shroom will increase the aptitude stat of all kits in a litter by +3. It stacks with other shrooms including itself, so you can get +6 intellect on each kit in a litter by giving it to both parents.
Recommended: for any litter with one or both parents for maximum effect.

War, Pestilence, Famine, and Death Shrooms
These mushrooms allow kits to inherit a random skill from one (or both) parents depending on the type of shroom and who they're equipped to. Each kit will be randomized one skill from the parent (if the parent has any skills to inherit) of the type allowed by the shroom that was used. These shrooms stack with other shrooms and each other. However, a kit cannot inherit the same skill twice, so there's not as much benefit from using two of the same shroom.
War Shroom will will allow inheritence of a rabbit challenger skill that deals damage.
Pestilence Shroom will allow inheritence of a non-damaging skill.
Famine Shroom will allow inheritence of a foraging skill.
Death Shroom will allow inheritence of a predator challenge skill.
Note that while stronger moves may give low level kits an upper hand in fights, they will still need a high enough energy stat to use them.
Recommended: for any litter with parents who have skills.
Do not use: with parents who don't have skills, if skills are the wrong type for the shroom, or using the same shroom with both parents who have the same skills.
Special Species Shrooms
These shrooms increases the odds of special species being conceived. At least one parent has to be the special species for the shroom to work. Using them (the same type) on both parents will double the odds. They stack with the Pose Shroom. If both parents are specials, use a special Shroom on both. Pose-bound colors on a non-special parent will decrease the chances.
Recommended: for a litter with one or (preferabbly two) special (same species as the shroom you're using) parents.
Do not use: for litters without either special parent, or using the wrong type of special shroom for the species you want kits to inherit.
Split Shroom
This split shroom increases the odds of chimeras and mosaics by a decent amount per kit. Using it on both parents will increase the odds by double what it normally does per kit. Whether parents are chimeras or mosaics makes no difference.
Recommended: for any litter.

Spirit Shroom
Allows offspring to be born with spirit markings. When given to a parent, it gives each kit a 10% chance of being born with spirit markings. Odds are stacked if two are used (one for each parent). It does not matter whether the parents had spirit markings.
