Should we add human-made accessories?
i feel like the accessory mechanic could be a lot of fun, but there are a lot of rabbits and a lot of items to work with. there is another site that already does this sort of thing, and honestly it's REALLY difficult to customize a creature with what you want with SO many items to work with and lots of players using the site at any given time. i say keep it to simple accessories really because of how complex the accessory and wardrobe mechanic can get.
In addition to the above, regarding mechanics, and keeping things simple (because those are important factors), here are my thoughts. I voted for the more Natural options... (but am not limited to the items themselves being natural, but *how they are used* being natural.) These are "wild" rabbits. Yeah, we've veered into the unnatural with them - but as unnatural as they are in physical appearance and genetics, they're still behaving as wild rabbits. They have wild rabbit interactions when exploring and claiming, wild rabbit ways of burrowing and foraging, with wild rabbit struggles and predators. Their lore and plots are on a wild rabbit level (with a bit of humanization on how we believe they may think or feel.) Clothes, bow ties, ribbons etc are "pet" rabbit items. Our warrens are not owned by humans, and rabbits can't dress themselves in the complicated items that humans put on their pets. Even if they found a bow on the ground that a child dropped, they have no sensible way of putting it onto themselves as a 'clothing' item. There are so many items in nature that can be used. Butterflies and bugs, flowers, stones and pebbles, snowflakes, small birds... the natural options are definitely extensive. Venturing into slightly less 'nature' themed, but still believable for a wild rabbit... The little plastic Easter Eggs in April could be used, as rabbits could reasonably find them (where a kiddo missed it during their egg hunt), and a rabbit can pick it up and carry it without a human. As could a piece of ribbon or a bow - it could be carried in the mouth, or laying next to them, and still fit into not needing a human owner to dress them.
I'm hoping to see all the bones found on site as accessories. I agree with muttduck that rabbits wearing things wouldn't make much sense as they're wild rabbits and have no way to put them on.
